The Martin Benjamin and Bruce Miller Award 2009


The Philosophy Department selected  this year two outstanding students for the Benjamin Miller and Bruce Miller  Miller Award 2009: Ania Pathak and Mark Bogner.  [Read more] The award is presented to the most promising sophomore student in philosophy. Both Mark and Ania have demonstrated that they are diligient, curious, and self-responsible learners. Mark holds a GPA of 3.9, is a major in philosophy, and intends to add economics to his field of studies. Ania holds a GPA of 4.0, and is a double degree student in philosophy and molecular biology.

I’m on the MSU Quizbowl team, and I plan on doing more band-related extracurriculars next year.

Do you have plans for the future? If so, which ones?
I’m not certain of my plans for after college, but I have considered opening my own business.

Other interests:
I have several composition projects as well. I love to read and play video games, and I’m a basketball fan as well.

Do you have plans for the future? If so, which ones?
During my undergrad, I’d really like to study abroad. Then afterward, where I want to go to graduate school and what I want to study will depend very much on where the next few years take me.

Other interests:
I love learning and trying new things; it exposes me to new perspectives. This can include anything from science and art to ballroom dancing and traveling.
