In this class we will focus on the concept of the political. What is politics? How is the political sphere separated from the social? What is the role of revolution in modern thought? This will be facilitated via a reading of Hannah Arendt's newly edited lectures on Marx and other writings by Arendt and Rosa Luxemburg on politics and revolution.
